It is a time for new beginnings at Alvey Law Group.
For more than 31 years now, I’ve had the privilege of being a trial lawyer. It has been an honor to help Oregonians do battle with dangerous workplaces, big insurance companies, and government bureaucracy.
But things have changed over the last few years, and I am excited to share these changes with you.
After a lifetime of internal struggle, and with the help of medical professionals, friends and family, I have accepted the fact I am a transgender woman.
My name has legally changed from Martin L. Alvey to Marcia L. Alvey.
I will be living, and working, as Marcia from now on, using female pronouns (she/her/hers). The corporate name of the law firm will be Marcia L. Alvey, P.C., doing business as Alvey Law Group.
This transition has brought me great peace and has revealed so much grace from my family, community, colleagues, my wonderful paralegals, and my clients.
While many things have changed, some things will never change.
Alvey Law Group will continue to practice workers’ compensation, social security disability, and personal injury law.
We will keep fighting for working people, just as we have since 1987.
